Frauke Seebass is a PhD Candidate and Carl Lutz Fellow at Andrássy University Budapest where she focuses on EU foreign policy towards Kosovo. Currently, she is a Visiting Fellow at the German Institute for Foreign & Security Affairs (SWP) in Brussels and an Associate Fellow with the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) in Berlin, working on EU enlargement towards the Western Balkans and beyond. She holds an M.Sc. in Peace & Conflict Studies from Radboud University Nijmegen and an M.A. in Linguistics & Communication from Potsdam University. As part of her PhD research, she completed a visiting fellowship at the Centre for South-East European Studies at the University of Graz. Throughout diverse professional experiences from political communication and media to grassroots youth movements and cross-sectoral cooperation, her focus has always been on strengthening democratic participation.
