As part of the BiEPAG bi-annual meeting in Podgorica, theThe Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG)will organise apanel discussion dedicated to Montenegro’s European path in the broader regional context of the Western Balkans, which will take place on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 15:00 to 16:30 at Europe House in Podgorica (Address: Trg Argentina 4).
At a time when the European Union enlargement process is regaining significance, Montenegro is facing numerous opportunities to accelerate its integration, but also challenges, as the frontrunner of European integration in the region. The topic of our panel is how Montenegro’s potential upcoming integration can assist other Western Balkan countries, and on which principles this model should be based.
The policy discussion will bring together prominent experts and decision-makers to critically assess the current state of the EU enlargement process, democratic reforms, and Montenegro’s role in leading the European agenda in the Western Balkans.
